Actor Charlie Sheen said that he took steroids to prepare for his role as Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn in "Major League."
In a new interview with Sports Illustrated, actor Charlie Sheen admitted that he took steroids in preparation to film the movie “Major League.”
“Let’s just say that I was enhancing my performance a little bit. It was the only time I ever did steroids,” Sheen said. “I did them for like six or eight weeks. You can print this, I don’t give a [expletive]. My fastball went from 79 [mph] to like 85.”
He said he gave up using the drug when he began to develop a temper and nearly beat up strangers after they made comments about his haircut.
“I didn’t like the haircut because it generated so many comments in bars,” Sheen said. “I’ve got enough of that already. Add that to the mix, and it’s a recipe for a fistfight.”
